To request an inspection you must complete an Inspection Request Form and e-mail it to the Assistant Fire Marshal or fax it to (479) 444-5721. You may also contact us at (479) 444-5740. We suggest inspections be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the inspection date.
How do I request a Fire Safety Education Presentation for my event?
Complete a Public Education Request Form and send it to the Fire Marshal Department. You may also contact us at (479) 444-5740. It is requested that Fire Safety Education Presentations be scheduled at least one week prior to the presentation date.
How do I obtain a free smoke alarm for my residence?
Free smoke alarms can be picked up at any fire department in your area. Smoke alarms are also distributed at the Washington County Sheriff's Office Fire Marshal Department. If you need help with the installation of the smoke alarm, you may contact the Fire Marshal Department or your local fire department.
Burning anything other than brush in the state of Arkansas is considered an illegal burn. Burning brush is legal, however the owner of the brush pile must maintain a constant watch on the brush pile to prevent it from spreading and have means of extinguishing the fire if needed.
