The Department of Emergency Management helps coordinate mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery from man-made or natural disasters and non day to day emergencies in Washington County.

Emergency Operations Center
We also coordinate the activation of the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) where emergency management staff, county and city officials, fire and police chiefs, sheriffs, public works directors, community leaders, and others conduct coordination of emergency operations, resources, direction and control, and emergency management.

911 Administration
We provide our residents with an efficient and professional 911 emergency communications system along with addressing & GIS mapping services.
How can I join the Search & Rescue team?
We are always looking for new members; to join, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license.
