Certain organizations and real estate qualify for property tax exemptions under the Arkansas Constitution, including:
- Public property used exclusively for public purposes
- Churches, used as such
- Cemeteries, used exclusively as such
- School buildings and apparatus
- Libraries and grounds used exclusively for school purposes
- Buildings, grounds, and materials used exclusively for public charity
Please note that non-profit status doesn't give you an automatic exemption. Tax exemption follows actual use, not non-profit status.
