Containers - please rinse containers to remove food residue and remove lids.

  • Aluminum Cans - Rinse
  • Steel Cans - Rinse and remove food residue.
    Metal lids from steel cans and glass bottles can be placed inside the cans.
  • Glass Jars & Bottles—Rinse
    Separate by color—clear, green, and brown.
    NO lids
    NO drinking glasses, dishes, Pyrex, light bulbs, or window glass.

Plastic - please rinse plastic bottles and remove lids.

  • Plastic Bottles - Must have a neck smaller than the bottom.
    Check the neck

    NO paper plates or cups
    NO milk or juice cartons
    NO frozen food containers
    NO egg cartons
  • Newspaper - May be loose or in paper bags.
  • Chipboard - Includes cereal and shoe boxes.
  • Cardboard & Brown Grocery Bags

During inclement weather, rural recycling will be cancelled for that week if the county courthouse is closed.
