This correspondence is to advise you of an Arkansas Supreme Court ruling that will adversely affect your ability to view documents via our e-search. Recently, the Arkansas Supreme Court has ruled that in accordance with Administrative Order 19, court records that are available to be viewed via the internet pre-2009 impose a responsibility on document-management system vendors to limit exposure to redacted information through Internet search engines. The amendments now impose a redaction requirement on the pre-2009 documents. The Arkansas Supreme Court states that these rulings are to be effective on September 1st, 2013.
To be compliant with the ruling, pre-2009 court documents that are currently available on our e-search that have not been properly redacted will be pulled from the website on August 30th, 2013. I am so sorry for the inconvenience, but we do have a solution in place. We will be having those documents (close to 1,000,000) redacted and made available for you to view and print, hopefully before the first of 2014. This will come at a substantial cost, but I feel that it is very important that this information be available to you electronically. Court documents that date 2009 to present will still be available for your viewing.
Again, my sincerest apologies for this inconvenience, but our solution to this issue will be in place very soon. Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the office during regular business hours.
