  • Information / Education about the criminal justice system

  • Referrals to community helping agencies

  • Support at every stage in the criminal court process

  • Liaison between victims and prosecutors

  • Notification of court dates

  • Escort to hearings / trials

  • Advocacy on behalf of victims with employers, landlords, law enforcement,                                                     the judicial system and other service providers

 

We also provide:

  • Assistance with filing petitions for Protective Orders

  • Assistance with filing Crime Victims Reparations

Victims of violent crimes and their families may apply for financial assistance to pay 

medical bills, counseling fees, income loss, funeral expenses, and more.       

The crime must be reported to law enforcement within 72 hours and a claim must be filed within one year. 

The victim must cooperate with the investigation of the crime and 

must not have contributed to his/her injury or death.
