NOTICE OF ELECTION

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2008

The Board of Election Commissioners of Washington County, Arkansas, pursuant to Arkansas election law 7-5-202, does hereby proclaim the Annual School Election will be held in Washington County on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.

If you have questions on your eligibility to vote, please call the County Clerk’s office at 444-1711 or 444-1716 prior to Election Day.

Early voting:

County Clerk’s office beginning September 9, 2008. Hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, including the Monday before the election.

Election Day Voting:

Polls on Election Day are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Absentee ballots will be opened, and processed beginning at 2 p.m. in Room 145 of the Washington County Courthouse on Election Day. The absentee and early ballots will be tabulated beginning at 7 p.m. in the Quorum Court Room of the Washington County Courthouse.

Handicapped persons having problems at the polling site ask supervisor for assistance or call 444-1766.
